Meta ad rejections
Facebook ad rejected for circumventing systems
Meta believes you are working around its review process rather than breaking a content rule. It is the most serious rejection on this list because it attaches to the account rather than the ad, and it often arrives just before a restriction.
What Meta’s notice says
What triggers it
- 01Cloaking, meaning review sees one page and users see another
- 02Rebuilding an ad that was already rejected, without changing what was wrong
- 03Redirect chains and link shorteners that hide the final destination
- 04Running the same rejected offer from a new ad account or page
- 05Characters or spacing used to disguise flagged words
Before and after
Any attempt to disguise the destination or the offer.
No rewrite reaches approval.
Treat this as an account problem and stop launching until it is resolved.
How to fix it
- –Stop launching new ads from the account. More attempts read as more evasion.
- –Remove every redirect, shortener, and cloaking layer between the ad and the destination.
- –Delete the rejected ads instead of duplicating and editing them.
- –Appeal once with a plain explanation. Escalate through a Meta rep if you have one.
- –If you bought or inherited the account, check what ran on it before you had it. The history stays attached.
Not caught by a copy scan
Preflight does not flag this, because nothing in the copy causes it. Policy Servo escalates this category to a human rather than attempting a rewrite.
Policy Servo does not attempt an automatic rewrite for this category. A rewrite cannot fix it, so it goes to a human instead.

I have never cloaked anything. Why this rejection?
Aggressive redirect chains and some affiliate tracking layers look identical to cloaking from the reviewer's side. Shorten the path and it often clears.
Should I make a new business manager?
No. That is the exact behaviour this policy targets, and it converts one rejection into a permanent ban.
